David Siskin

Founder

David has a long history of building successful businesses and has dedicated his latest venture—BOOMITY|Health—to addressing the emotional and social challenges often associated with chronic health conditions. Drawing from his extensive background in marketing, branding, and technology, David is channeling his expertise into creating solutions that bring people together, especially those facing common health and mental health challenges. After witnessing how isolation, anxiety, and depression affected the health of close friends, David is driven to use technology to foster connections, reduce loneliness, and improve emotional well-being. His career, which includes leading companies from startup to IPO and building multi-million-dollar businesses, now takes a more personal turn—aimed at making a real difference in the lives of those struggling with their health.

Joan’s professional journey spans leadership roles at companies like EDS, HP, MCI, and NDS, where she specialized in custom application development for IT startups. However, her work with BOOMITY|Health is deeply personal. Years ago, Joan had a premature baby and experienced firsthand the strong desire to connect with others going through similar situations. This experience motivated her to join David in creating solutions that foster connection and support for those facing similar health challenges. With her extensive experience in community engagement software ventures, Joan is driven to turn this vision into reality—helping people overcome the emotional and social hurdles that often accompany health struggles.

Melvin is the Lead Developer and architect behind BOOMITY|Health, specializing in Full-Stack development. With a wealth of experience in building community engagement software, Melvin has collaborated with David on several ventures, bringing a deep understanding of the technical challenges involved. Formerly an IT Consultant for Efficio Technologies, he now leads the global technical team, ensuring the platform is both scalable and robust. Melvin’s passion lies in transforming complex technical structures into seamless, efficient systems, enabling BOOMITY|Health to deliver an exceptional experience for its users.

Currently serving as Chief of Acute Care Analytics at Providence, Tate has a proven track record of improving care quality and operational efficiency in large healthcare organizations. His leadership roles at Elsevier, Ascension, and FirstCare Health Plans have centered on leveraging advanced analytics to drive meaningful outcomes, from saving millions in operational costs to implementing cutting-edge data systems. As a respected author with over 60 published works, Tate’s expertise continues to shape the future of healthcare analytics. His insights and guidance are invaluable as BOOMITY|Health strives to create impactful solutions for those facing health challenges.

Dr. Marvin (Marv) Southard

LCSW, DSW
Dr. Marvin Southard brings decades of leadership in mental health services as the former Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH), the largest county-run mental health organization in the U.S. At LACDMH, Marv led programs supporting over 250,000 people annually, pioneering urgent care centers, crisis response teams, and partnerships enhancing community access and equity. His leadership experience also includes roles as Director of Mental Health in Kern County and guiding behavioral health initiatives in East Los Angeles.

Currently, Marv is a Co-Founder and Partner at Capstone Solutions, providing strategic tools that empower social sector organizations to maximize their impact and promote equitable communities. He previously served as a Professor of Practice at USC, where he developed the Professional DSW program to mentor emerging leaders.

T.J. Sharpe is a renowned speaker, writer, and patient expert consultant with a unique perspective as a Stage IV melanoma survivor. With over a decade of experience in healthcare, clinical research, and digital medicine technologies, T.J. brings invaluable insights into creating solutions that truly connect and empower patients. Patrick McGrath

Patrick brings over four decades of experience in leveraging data and digital innovation to drive competitive advantage. As Sr. Director of Product Growth and Offering Management at Medidata Solutions, he has been instrumental in revolutionizing clinical trial technology and data analytics, helping pharmaceutical companies and research organizations accelerate drug development and improve patient outcomes. With a background in leadership roles at Commvault, EMC, and UC Berkeley, Patrick bridges technical complexities with real-world business impact.
